“Focus on the objective.” - G.S
1 Thessalonians 2:8,10-12 KJV
[8] So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us. [10] Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe: [11] As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children, [12] That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.
Acts 24:15-27 KJV
[15] And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. [16] And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men. [17] Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings. [18] Whereupon certain Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, neither with multitude, nor with tumult. [19] Who ought to have been here before thee, and object, if they had ought against me. [20] Or else let these same here say, if they have found any evil doing in me, while I stood before the council, [21] Except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this day. [22] And when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will know the uttermost of your matter. [23] And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him. [24] And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ. [25] And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee. [26] He hoped also that money should have been given him of Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him. [27] But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix' room: and Felix, willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound.
James 1:21 KJV
[21] Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
Job 39:1-30 KJV
[1] Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve? [2] Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth? [3] They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows. [4] Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them. [5] Who hath sent out the wild ass free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass? [6] Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings. [7] He scorneth the multitude of the city, neither regardeth he the crying of the driver. [8] The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing. [9] Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib? [10] Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee? [11] Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him? [12] Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn? [13] Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich? [14] Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust, [15] And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them. [16] She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers: her labour is in vain without fear; [17] Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding. [18] What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider. [19] Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder? [20] Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible. [21] He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men. [22] He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword. [23] The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield. [24] He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet. [25] He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting. [26] Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south? [27] Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high? [28] She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place. [29] From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off. [30] Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.
Luke 3:12-38 KJV
[12] Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do? [13] And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you. [14] And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages. [15] And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not; [16] John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: [17] Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable. [18] And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people. [19] But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done, [20] Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison. [21] Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, [22] And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. [23] And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli, [24] Which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Janna, which was the son of Joseph, [25] Which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Amos, which was the son of Naum, which was the son of Esli, which was the son of Nagge, [26] Which was the son of Maath, which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Semei, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Juda, [27] Which was the son of Joanna, which was the son of Rhesa, which was the son of Zorobabel, which was the son of Salathiel, which was the son of Neri, [28] Which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Addi, which was the son of Cosam, which was the son of Elmodam, which was the son of Er, [29] Which was the son of Jose, which was the son of Eliezer, which was the son of Jorim, which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, [30] Which was the son of Simeon, which was the son of Juda, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Jonan, which was the son of Eliakim, [31] Which was the son of Melea, which was the son of Menan, which was the son of Mattatha, which was the son of Nathan, which was the son of David, [32] Which was the son of Jesse, which was the son of Obed, which was the son of Booz, which was the son of Salmon, which was the son of Naasson, [33] Which was the son of Aminadab, which was the son of Aram, which was the son of Esrom, which was the son of Phares, which was the son of Juda, [34] Which was the son of Jacob, which was the son of Isaac, which was the son of Abraham, which was the son of Thara, which was the son of Nachor, [35] Which was the son of Saruch, which was the son of Ragau, which was the son of Phalec, which was the son of Heber, which was the son of Sala, [36] Which was the son of Cainan, which was the son of Arphaxad, which was the son of Sem, which was the son of Noe, which was the son of Lamech, [37] Which was the son of Mathusala, which was the son of Enoch, which was the son of Jared, which was the son of Maleleel, which was the son of Cainan, [38] Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.
