Why was the communication given up to big corporations that have only a few in charge of big decisions that can affect the community, instead of the local community that has everyday people like you and me that should be in charge of their own lives?

Communication as in commerce, hence community.

What is community? How are businesses and relationships intertwined? —

Business that uses giving standards according to Holy Standards:

Give and it will be given back pressed down and shaken together!

Business According To Local Community/Commerce:

It starts locally and can expand according using fair and biblical standards. (Just weights and measures to properly understand and know the value of a thing.)

*Know the difference between local business and global dominance types of businesses!

*It is best to use the internet as a communications means in moderation according to proper balance.

Job 37:16-25 (KJV)

16 Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?

17 How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?

18 Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?

Global Dominating Business vs Local Communication (community) business:

Local business services the community and communities directly, whereas global dominating businesses are big monopolies that therefore control the movement of currency (money) because they dominate that market. Hebrews 12:7 (KJV) He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress. Deuteronomy 25:13 (KJV) Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small. The same was the money changers in The Bible's New Testament.

Global dominated businesses has been known to hinder relationships and foster stagnation for local communities.
