Why procrastination causes more work to be done and why staying idle is misunderstood and backfires?

Matthew 6:31-34 KJV

[31] Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? [32] (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. What is idleness and what is fair and what is passive evil?


Proverbs 19:15-29 KJV

[15] Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger. [16] He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.

[17] He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. [18] Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying. [19] A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again. [20] Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. Proverbs 31:26-31 KJV

[26] She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. [27] She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. [28] Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. [29] Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Ecclesiastes 10:18-20 KJV

Ezekiel 16:49-63 KJV

1 Timothy 5:10-18 KJV

Exodus 5:8-23 KJV
